The British Open is golf's oldest major tournament, and the Steam Line Staff Bag rises to the occasion. Black, red, and green color schemes with gold detailing are found throughout, along with subtle nods to Northern Ireland and the British Open.
The staff bag's design is inspired by the Portrush Steam Railway, in operation since 1855. The red and black colors of its engine stand out on the exterior, as does the green, which represents the color of the passenger carriages. The side panels are black and feature rivets, like the locomotive.
Subtle nods to the famous Portrush Steam Railway and Northern Ireland appear throughout. On the upper back valuables pocket, a patch commemorates the venue in the shape of a vintage railway ticket. Just below, a shamrock pays tribute to Northern Ireland.
The 25th anniversary on both side panels commemorates this year's British Open. A train on the handle pays homage to the iconic Steam line. "All aboard!" appears on the front valuables pocket. The interior lining of the pockets was inspired by train seat cushions.
The Steam line cases retain many of the same designs as the bag. Here too, the black, red, and green color schemes with gold piping stand out, as do the homages to the iconic train.
